Kari Marble, a long-time yoga teacher at the Mindful Body, studies kirtan with Jai Uttal, Daniel Paul, and Geoffrey Gordon. Acknowledged for the powerful "Ma Shakti" of her voice, Kari loves playing the harmonium and singing her heart into pure devotional melted joy.
San Francisco Kirtan artist, Mirabai, offers chanting events in yoga studios & centers in the Bay Area. With guitar/vocal background in folk and jazz, and Indian studies with Sargam Shah and Jai Uttal, she uniquely blends Indian Sanskrit chants with her own Western-fusion melodies. Jonathan Boisseau studied classical tabla at Ali Akbar College of Music with Tim Witter and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. He became captivated by kirtan tabla rhythms and began working with composer and percussionist Geoffrey Gordon. He plays tabla for numerous kirtan wallahs in the Bay Area.
